There are so many different avenues of creative and design that I love, so I enjoy taking on freelance projects in order to practice different skill sets and continuously diversify my portfolio. Here you can take a look at a variety of freelance projects I am particularly proud of. That being said, if you are looking for a freelance designer, please feel free to fill out the contact form on my contact page!

Overmountain Films Branding

A talented close friend of mine started a freelance videography company, Overmountain Films, and I was thrilled to design the branding for the company from the ground up. My friend, being fond of the Patagonia logo, wanted to aim for something in that realm as inspiration, but something that fit in with his video style. I started with the main Overmountain Films logo as the primary logo mark for the business, and then ended up making one that could be used as a secondary logo for video content specifically in music and recording live sessions, hence “Overmountain Sessions.” Complete with a brand guidelines book and logo animations, he is ready to get that show on the road!

Voyageur Wood & Wax Logo Design

When my friends Casey and Will started their homemade candles and cutting boards company, Voyageur Wood & Wax, I was so excited to be able to create a logo for them. I love the way this logo turned out in both versions, and they did too.

Jessy Wilson Phase Vinyl Record Packaging & General Artist Brand Design

One of my favorite projects ever, that was unfortunately never used, but was commissioned by the client. I thoroughly enjoyed working on the development of this packaging, from the original branding, to the vinyl layout design. You’ll also see some general branding design done for the artist brand. Super proud of this! All photography was provided by the client.

Hang Tan Nashville Logo Design

When a good friend of mine came to me with an idea to take her spray tanning business mobile, I was so excited to help her out with a logo. The first logo here is my favorite, the retro California color scheme. The second image is the color scheme she chose in the end, and the third is a neon gradient version of the logo I gave in the beginning for that bright “tanning bed” style feel.

Moon Taxi Now’s the Time Artwork

I had the opportunity to design potential covers for the band Moon Taxi’s single “Now’s the Time.” I was lucky enough to assist with art direction at the photo shoot as well. The band ended up going in a very different direction with the artwork in the end, but I enjoyed the opportunity and loved getting to work on these compositions, as well as with the band. Here are a handful of designs and illustrations from the project. Photography provided by the band.

The Pup Truck Logo Design

Here’s a logo design I was thrilled to take on for The Pup Truck, a “food truck” for dog owners to get treats and curated goodies for their pups. The Pup Truck is located in Nashville, TN. The first logo is the one the client chose as the final mark, and the other sets show two additional typography options given for the client to consider.

Who doesn’t love homemade toffee?! I had the opportunity to design this logo for a California-based family-owned toffee shop, Jeanne’s English Toffee Co. Now I just need to make it out to Cali to try some! The owners ended up picking the red and gold combination, but I included a few more color combos I loved.

CrossFit East Nashville “CFEN” T-shirt Designs

I designed some simple retro t-shirt concepts for Crossfit East Nashville. This project was a ton of fun and I love the bright, retro feel of the different options.

Willa J Artist Logo

Willa J is an artist group that writes music to specifically target television show, commercial, and movie syncs. I conceptualized and designed this funky logo for the group to use on later single artwork, web, social, and various promotion materials. Funny enough, I drew this out on a cheap notepad after sketching out a handful of different options for the logo and needing a break. I looked at it and thought “well that’s funky.” So I brought it onto the computer to digitize it and tweak it, and the group loved it.

Brent Cobb “Country” T-shirt Design

In support of REAL ;) country music, I designed this simple “Country” tee for country/Americana artist Brent Cobb to sell with the bundle for the re-release of his album “No Place Left to Leave.”
